PERFORMANCES

Our musicians enjoy sharing their music with the community.

SCVFA members perform at community events, harvest festivals, schools, senior centers, local organizations,  farmers markets, and private parties.  The performances provide opportunities for us to share traditional music with the public.  All payments received for performances provide funding for SCVFA.  If you like to perform, there are numerous opportunities throughout the year. Travel reimbursement is available upon request for musicians who travel long distances to participate.

Schedule a Performance

We ask that you contact us 3-4 weeks prior to your preferred performance date.

Contact our Performance Coordinator about your event and when you are available for a call to discuss your event.

Volunteer to Play

Members of all levels who are comfortable performing in public are encouraged to volunteer for performances (aka ‘playouts’). There is safety in numbers and these informal performance events are an excellent venue to enhance your musical growth. The set lists are comprised of tunes and songs played at the monthly SCVFA Jam.  Experienced musicians volunteer to lead the group by selecting tunes and scheduling rehearsals.

Have fun playing to appreciative audiences.  Join our merry group of musicians and receive notifications about “playout” opportunities. No obligation! No pay!  However, you might get a free meal from time to time!

Contact our Performance Coordinator to volunteer to play and receive notices of upcoming performances.
